 THE OLIVE GROVE

Our olive grove has an excellent location at an altitude of 900 metres in the Aceral hills. This is a unique site in terms of oil production, allowing limited production in order to obtain a top quality oil, with superior edafoclimatic conditions that favour the perfect interaction of the tree with the environment. This means the oil is rich in polyphenols, which act as antioxidants, slowing oxidation processes and organism deterioration, delaying the natural ageing process.

The Cornicabra olive tree is an ancient variety, with a wide range of local ecotypes, each adapted to its own environment.

This variety has medium vigour and branches of average length, and the young wood has a light grey colour with ochre tones. The leaf is long and symmetrical, with the upper side presenting a light green colour and the underside being greenish-grey.

The olive tree grows slowly, giving fruit about 5 years after planting, and it does not fully develop until it is 20 years old; only after 35 years can it be considered mature. Our olive grove is a very old plantation.
