INTRODUCTION

La Gozuela is a company whose mission is to care for and cultivate the earth for the plantation and harvesting of fruit, in order to obtain extra virgin olive oil. This is done with respect for both the environment and the protected species that inhabit the area.

Our plantation enjoys an excellent location close to the Cabañeros National Park. This fact has helped determine our main goals as a rural company: a commitment to ecology, care for the environment and the development of rural and cultural tourism in the area.

Cultivating olive groves is an economic activity with a long history in Spain, and one with a very important social and agro-environmental dimension.

Spain is the world’s foremost producer of olive oil, being responsible for half of European oil production.

The La Gozuela olive grove is in the region of Castile La Mancha, the land of Don Quixote. The LA GOZUELA EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is a top quality oil. A land of vineyards and olive trees, Castile La Mancha is one of the symbols of Mediterranean agriculture. Currently, the region is Spain’s top wine producer, and the second in terms of virgin olive oil production.

The region occupies 80,000 km2 in the centre of the Iberian Peninsula and is made up of five provinces: Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo. It is in this last province, Toledo, where our olive plantation is located. It is southwest of the city of Toledo in the Montes de Toledo mountains, in the municipality of Los Navalucillos, and just a few kilometres from the Cabañeros National Park, one of the Iberian peninsula’s most important protected spaces. The great diversity of animal and plant species, together with its curious geology, make this area a treasure, and a fascinating representative of Mediterranean mountains within the national park network.

Olive oil’s beneficial effects on health have made it a crucial element of our diet, and a star product on the international market.

We invite you to try it.
